Welcome to my online campaign office |
|
My name is Charles Trevino and I am seeking re-election to the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District Board of Directors.
As a re-elected member of the Board, I will continue to develop programs and policies with environmental sensitivity that will ensure an adequate supply of high quality water at the lowest costs for the taxpayers, consumers and businesses of the District.
While the 2010 rain-fall totals have been better than average, it will take a few more years like the one we've just had to replenish our water supplies.
The job of conservation in light of a good rainy season makes our job more difficult.
That is why I'm asking that you join me in meeting this challenge by supporting my campaign for water board and together we will make a difference!

I have worked in the water industry since 1982, and was elected to the Central Basin Municipal Water District Board of Directors in 1994 and the Upper San Gabriel Valley Municipal Water District Board of Directors in 2008.
I am a member of AFSCME Local 1001 and have always worked closely with organized labor to put in place Project Labor Agreements to ensure that contractors pay their employees fair and decent wages.
I live in South Pasadena and have been married 26 years to Carmen Trevino who currently works for LA Unified School District.
"Throughout my career, I have been priviledged to assist people with their goals and aspirations. I have done so for two reasons.
First, I stand on the shoulder of many individuals who have help me. And second, I believe to whom much is given, much is required." |

As a member of Upper San Gabriel Municipal Water District Board of Directors, I will:
• continue to fight to make sure that our water is safe, reliable, and cost efficient.
• demand fiscal responsibility so that our tax payer dollars are prudently spent.
• work with business and community leaders to make sure that you as a stakeholder have input as to the decisions of your water board.
• work closely with organized labor to promote fair and decent wages to the people working for our contractors and that jobs stay in our community by using local signatory contractors whenever possible.
• draw upon my life experiences as a member of this community to meet the needs of its residents. |
